What is 1cP-LSD?

1cP-LSD is an analogue and close relative of LSD and 1P-LSD. It is reported to produce nearly identical pharmacological effects to its predecessors. These effects are presumably caused by interactions with serotonin 5-HT2A receptors distributed throughout the brain.

Chemical properties

1cP-LSD is named after the cyclopropionyl group bonded to the nitrogen of LSD’s polycyclic indole group. The cyclopropionyl group consists of a carbonyl ring with the chemical formula C3H6 bonded to an amino group. The structure of 1cP-LSD contains a polycyclic group with a bicyclic hexahydroindole bonded to a bicyclic quinoline group. An N,N-diethylcarboxamide is bonded to carbon 8 of the quinoline.

Pharmacological effects

1cP-LSD likely also interacts with a variety of monoamine receptors, such as those for dopamine and norepinephrine. However, this is only speculation and based on observations of LSD’s interaction with the brain, as little data is available to date on the exact mechanisms of 1cP-LSD. The mechanisms are believed to be nearly identical to those of 1cP-LSD and LSD. This is due to similarities in molecular structure and reported pharmacological effects.
